Welcome to Mr. Reilly’s Spring Recital info page. I’m hoping that this can answer any questions you or your child might have about the upcoming recital for all of my younger students. Please call, email, or text if any other questions come up!
What: A springtime piano recital and reception.
When: Saturday, May 14th, 2022, 2-4pm
Where: Mr. Reilly’s back yard! 1017 Bennett Ave, Glenwood Springs
Who: All my younger students, their families and friends. All are welcome: Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and family friends. If you plan on having more than your immediate family join, please let me know by text or the RSVP form below, so that I can make sure I have enough chairs (and cookies!) for everyone.
Why: To celebrate everyone and their hard work during the last 2 years! Recitals also give us a wonderful opportunity to share what we’ve been working on. And they also give us valuable experience in performing the piano for others.
Location: This recital is going to be outdoors in my backyard! I plan on moving my grand piano out to the back porch at my house. Seating will be located in the grass under the (hopefully blooming) apple tree and treehouse.
Weather: Spring in the Rockies is challenging for outdoor events! I’m hoping for comfortable temps and sunshine! If the forecast is calling for rain, snow, or cold temperatures, we might have to change the day to the following Sunday the 15th, or another Saturday later in the month. I’ll be sure to give everyone an advance notice (4-6 days) if I plan on making any changes.
Dress: No requirements at all, but it can be fun to dress up for a special occasion. “Smart-casual” works fine for kids. They can also get as dressy as they want, if they enjoy it. Please keep in mind the weather and the temperatures.
Reception: I’m planning on hosting a reception after the performances. There will be light food and drinks for all.
